Show us the piece you mean, on a screen or on paper. We quote it by weight at the day's rate before any gold is touched, and wherever the job allows the making happens at the bench in this building, in 21 or 22 carat.
What happens,in order.
Four stages, and the number comes first. Nothing is made, and nothing is owed, until you have heard the quote and said yes.
- Bring a photograph
- A screenshot, a saved photo, a drawing, or a piece you already own and want repeated. It does not have to be good. It has to show the pattern and roughly where the metal sits, and we ask about everything else across the counter.
- Quoted by weight
- We estimate what the finished piece will weigh, price that weight at the day’s 21 or 22 carat rate, and add the making charge on top. One number, worked out in front of you, before you commit to anything.
- Deposit, then made
- A deposit starts the work, and nothing else does. Wherever the job allows, the gold is worked at the bench inside this shop rather than sent away.
- Fitted before you take it
- Ring size, bangle diameter, chain length: all settled on you, in the shop, before the piece goes home. The bench that made it stays behind the same counter afterwards.

You do not need a design. You need a picture.
The brief is rarely a drawing. It is a screenshot from a cousin’s wedding overseas, a pendant photographed through a shop window in another city, a grandmother’s bangle that needs a twin made to sit beside it. Each of those is enough to quote from.
Copying is honest bench work. An inherited piece can be matched in pattern and carat until the new one sits beside the original without giving itself away, which is the same matching that holds a bridal set together.

Turnaround depends on the piece. A plain band and a matched set are different jobs, and the range to expect is [typical turnaround, confirm with owner]. Ask when you bring the picture in.
