At the bench
The bench is partof the shop.
One counter takes in five kinds of work: custom orders, repairs, old gold exchange, resizing and cleaning. The bench that does them is inside this building, not at the end of a courier run.

Stand-in. Photograph the real bench at Prospect Road.
Most jobs neverleave the building.
“At the bench” is a place, not a phrase. The workbench sits inside this building, behind the same counter that sells the gold, and for most jobs the piece you hand over stays here until you collect it.
That covers more than mending. Resizing, chain and clasp work, re-stringing, cleaning, polishing and rhodium plating are all bench jobs, done where they were handed in. What a repair involves →
Making runs through the same room. A custom piece starts as your photograph and a quote by weight at the day’s rate, and old gold crosses the same scale going the other way. How the pricing works →
The bench keeps the shop’s hours, Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30, and nothing needs booking. Come in with the piece. Where to find us →

Stand-in
What comes across the counter.
Custom orders
Made to your photograph, quoted by weight first.
Repairs
Chains, clasps and settings, mended at the bench here.
Old gold exchange
The gold you already own, on the scale in front of you.
Ring resizing
Up or down, fitted before it leaves the shop.
Cleaning & polishing
The colour brought back without touching the weight.
Not on the list? Bring it in anyway. If the bench cannot help, we will say so while you are standing at the counter.
Where most jobs begin
A piece made from a photograph, a mend, or gold weighed back in. Each has its own page with the detail.
Bring it inbroken, or drawn.
A snapped chain, a photograph of a piece you want made, a bag of old gold: all of it starts at the same counter, and none of it needs an appointment.
